Project Details

Located outside of Louisville, Prospect is a small town with many quaint neighborhoods and a variety of architectural styles. We worked with a homeowner in the area who was looking to add a modern touch to their 1997 house. We recommended a Pella Reserve — Contemporary hinged patio door to update the look of the space.

Black French Doors Modernize Home

No matter the style of the house, French doors always make a statement. With wide openings to the yard, these doors swing out, creating a sophisticated entrance that maximizes airflow. To add a contemporary touch to the home, we recommended black French doors with a simple and elegant square grille profile. The grilles add intricate detail without greatly obstructing the view of the outdoors. Black patio doors are trendy and extremely versatile when it comes to matching a room’s aesthetic. The dark color of the door pops against the white interior walls and outside brick, making it a statement piece of the home.

Clad Wood Doors Ensure Durability in Central Kentucky Climate

Our EnduraClad® exterior aluminum cladding is low-maintenance and weather-resistant, making this door a great choice to withstand Kentucky’s seasonal weather. Offering exquisite finishes, Pella Reserve patio doors combine design with durability to give the homeowner the quality they deserve. With premium handles from the Baldwin® Modern Collection, the Satin Nickel finish shines against the black doors.

We enjoyed working with the homeowner to reach their contemporary design goals. With a new French door, the entrance offers an elevated focal point for the home. Built to last, this black French door will offer durability and beauty through many Kentucky winters and summers to come.
