Known as the Horse Show Capital of the World, Oklahoma City is steeped in Old West heritage and features a number of brick homes. In one of these homes, the homeowners wanted to replace their front door to improve not only the appearance of the home from the street, but also improve the home’s energy efficiency. After replacing all their home’s windows with energy efficient replacement windows and patio doors from Pella, they knew they could trust Pella to replace their front door too.

Blue Front Door Creates Focal Point

The dated, brown front door made the entryway dark and uninviting. It also did not have a weathertight seal and drafts could be felt inside the home. We replaced the entry with a sleek fiberglass door that provides an updated look. The classic navy front door complements the traditional brick exterior while creating a beautiful focal point. It’s a timeless combination that works on a number of home styles including this blue front door on a brick colonial.

The durable fiberglass door features vertical planking and an arched top panel for the perfect pop of traditional beauty. Made of a composite panel and frame system, this elegant door will not rot, corrode or dent, providing years of long-lasting beauty.

Solid Door with Sidelights Balance Privacy and Natural Light

Living in such a big and busy city, privacy was also a concern for the homeowners. They chose a solid fiberglass door with no glass to maximize privacy in the home’s foyer. They included sidelights to add character and bring in a small amount of natural light while maintaining the privateness of the entry. The combination has created the right balance for their needs.

From the street, the transformation is undeniable. The classic blue front door draws eyes to the home and makes the neighbors envious. The homeowners are very happy with their decision to replace their front door with Pella.
