Nichols Hills, Oklahoma is home to a variety of beautiful residences and neighborhoods. When we met the homeowners of this project, they expressed that their top priority was energy efficiency for their home. Their old aluminum windows were experiencing leaks and drafts, contributing to uncomfortable indoor temperatures and high energy bills. We knew that our wood windows were up to the challenge.
Energy-Efficient Windows Deliver Enhanced Comfort
We recommended wood windows for their reliability when it comes to saving energy. Wood is a natural insulator and does a great job of keeping homeowners comfortable inside their space. One thing these homeowners mentioned was how hot the front rooms of their home would get in the summer months due to their old window’s poor insulation. The Low-E glass coating on these new windows is optimized for the diversity of Oklahoma’s weather and designed to keep warm air outside during the summer months.
We also chose to include exterior aluminum cladding over the wood of these windows in order to increase the longevity and durability of the wood. With aluminum clad wood windows, these homeonwers won’t have to worry about wood rot.
Casement Windows Maintain Traditionally Timeless Look
While energy efficiency was very important to these homeowners, they also wanted to ensure the overall look and feel of their home stayed consistent. We recommended casement windows as they offer a timeless style that works perfectly with the traditional elements of the home. We also added grilles to the new windows to mimic the style of the older ones. The crisp white color of the windows works well with the lighter color brick exterior of the home.
Overall, this job offered a great chance to upgrade these homeowners’ house and optimize their space for energy efficiency. Since the replacement's completion, the customer has already noticed a dramatic difference in the indoor temperature. It is about five degrees cooler in an area of the house that used to get very hot during the summer months. We were very pleased with the outcome of this replacement project and know the homeowners will enjoy their new and improved windows for years to come.
