Put the top down and drive 15 miles North to Arcadia and the historic Route 66. Here you can find the famous round barn, local favorite POPS diner and gas station and this backyard oasis. With hot and humid Oklahoma summers ahead, these Arcadia homeowners wanted to transform their backyard into an oasis they can enjoy all summer long.
These Arcadia homeowners were seeking an unobstructed view of their backyard pool. The home originally featured three sets of French doors with transoms above them, leading to the patio and pool. While the doors were functional, they didn’t allow for unobstructed views and entertaining the homeowners desired. They turned to us at Pella of Oklahoma to help completely open the space with new wood patio doors.
French Sliding Patio Door Delivers Connected Indoor/Outdoor Living
Looking for a more contemporary look, we recommended a 4-panel Pella® Reserve™ – Contemporary sliding patio door. With sleek lines and expansive glass, the large white patio door consumes the entire wall of the living room. The floor-to-ceiling glass fills the space with beautiful natural light and delivers unobstructed sightlines to the pool area. During summer parties, the doors part from the middle, connecting the pool, patio and living room seamlessly.
The patio door also features a Top Row grille pattern as a nod to the traditional aesthetic of the home, but is created with modern, square Integral Light Technology® grilles. These innovative grilles are bonded permanently to the inside and outside of the glass, providing the most authentic look of true divided light without sacrificing energy efficiency.
Expert Installation by Pella of Oklahoma
Expanding from three small, individual openings to a single large one was no small feat. With such an extensive remodel, electrical needed to be moved and new sheetrock needed to be patched and added. Our decades of industry experience allowed us to utilize the existing header to save the customer some additional expense.
The result is incredible and the customer is thrilled with the final look of the door. Now, the living room is filled with natural light and is seamlessly connected to the patio and pool.
