Black Windows Elevate Mountain Green Modern Farmhouse

In the naturally beautiful town of Mountain Green, Utah, we had the opportunity to add Pella windows and doors to this newly built modern farmhouse. We knew in order to match the elevated design of this home, we would need to include contemporary windows and doors that complement the clean lines and modern aesthetic of the space.

One of the things we were very intentional about throughout this space was enhancing the home’s modern farmhouse style. Black windows and modern grilles were used on the front elevation to accentuate the modern farmhouse design of the home. Against the white home, black windows add contrast to create the classic farmhouse look. Contemporary grilles added to the front elevation modernize the look. Window grilles are an easy way to upgrade your home’s design by adding an elegant touch to the space.

Maximizing natural light in the home office space furthers its contemporary elegance. With the addition of the clerestory windows near the office ceiling, we were able to make use of the space to allow light to flow through the room from multiple angles.                 

The property surrounding this home is truly breathtaking and offers a lot of outdoor space for entertaining. We recommended a sliding patio door to offer a seamless transition from the walkout basement to the outdoor spaces. The multi-slide patio door takes up less space than other options, such as a hinged patio door. We also included several large windows with no grilles to offer an unobstructed view of the backyard.

With so many beautiful outside views to highlight from this home, the primary bedroom was no exception. When these homeowners wake up to breathtaking mountain scenery, we want to make sure they feel as close to nature as possible from the comfort of their bedroom. We chose large casement windows with the addition of picture windows above the bed. In the bathroom, we added additional casement windows above the bathtub and small square clerestory windows above the vanity. The casement windows play an integral part in this space as they offer ample ventilation for the bathroom and bedroom areas.    

We enjoyed working with the elevated design of this modern farmhouse to offer these homeowners a relaxing mountain retreat to call home. With modern black windows and doors throughout the space, these homeowners can feel one with nature from the comfort of their home.
