In a suburb of Seattle just west of the airport, sits this beautiful Burien home on the Puget Sound. The 50-year-old waterfront home is undergoing several updates to make it less dated. The homeowner wanted to upgrade their existing windows in the office and basement to get a more contemporary look.
Replacement Windows Upgrade Contemporary Style
Together with Pella, the homeowners chose Pella® Reserve™ – Contemporary wood windows for their true modern styling. The sleek, minimal profiles and expansive glass are exactly what the homeowner was looking for. Their white basement windows complement the freshly painted white trim beautifully. For the perfect finishing touch to the office casement windows, they selected our renowned and industry-leading Saldo fold-away crank in an elegant Satin Nickel finish.
Durable Wood Windows Withstand Salty Coastal Air
With the home directly on the water, durability of the windows was top of mind for the homeowners. They chose to replace their sliding and picture windows with two casement windows and a picture window to better enjoy the breeze off the water.
The office windows overlook the Puget Sound and face harsh, salty air. The homeowners were pleased to learn that Pella offers a Seacoast EnduraClad® protective finish for coastal projects with high salt exposure. The protective, aluminum-clad exterior in concert with the advanced wood protection on the interior, gives them peace of mind these windows will last.
Also important to the customer was keeping their original trim. Our expert install team was very careful when taking it off to install the new windows to keep the trim in perfect condition. The durable replacement windows add an updated, contemporary look to this waterfront home, creating a space where the homeowner is happy to be.
